Tulum, part two…
This Sunday we decided to spend the day at Azulik’s hotel beach. We came to this hotel the night before and fell in love with the design of its restaurant that we decided to come back the next day to check out their beach. We were not disappointed, the minute we walked into the hotel we felt like we were in a tree house. I highly recommend any couple, especially honeymooners who are looking for some alone time, to stay here. It’s an adult only, clothes optional, private beach boutique hotel. Every room has it’s unique design. I am even considering staying here the days following our wedding. For more pictures please click here.
The day before I also got sunburned. I am usually pretty good at wearing sunscreen all the time, but this time I got distracted enjoying drinks and Mexican food that I would keep telling myself that I will put sunscreen after I was done with my lunch, but an hour later my skin was already red from the sun. It’s being a long time since I got this sunburned that I forgot how it felt not being able to move or put clothes on from the pain.
The next day although I didn’t feel like being in the sun I didn’t want to miss a day at the beach in Tulum. So I wore a maxi skirt to cover my legs from the sun, my bikini and a big hat to cover my face and shoulders. Since my whole outfit was black this red hat was perfect to add some contrast to it. Maxi skirts and crop tops are one of my favorite outfits in the summer. Every time I travel to the beach I pack at least one matching crop top and maxi skirt. What I love about the whole outfit is how comfortable it is and how you can wear it to go to the beach and then wear it again at night for dinner. I will sure be using this combination on my next trips.
