Hello guys! I want to start with saying that these pictures were taken in Tulum. As I mentioned before Nate and I have been pretty busy the last couple months working on our new home. We are also starting to plan our wedding! After we got engaged in November I got a little overwhelmed and I got the engagement blues. One thing is to dream about a wedding and it’s quite another thing to actually plan one. I am one of those people who likes to please my loved ones and I want everything to be perfect, but what bride doesn’t? My first worry was where do I have the wedding?? Nate and I love travelling and we love the beach! So from the beginning we knew we wanted to do a destination wedding. We thought about several places but we wanted a beach that was not too commercial. Tulum is one place I always wanted to go, and it doesn’t have that commercial vibe, it’s romantic, laid back and beautiful. Not to mention that you feel like you are in another part of the world but it only took four hours straight flight to get there. Besides Nate and I love Mexican food, it became a tradition for us to have tacos once a week, and we love the people. Some of my deariest closest friends are from Mexico.
After doing a lot of research for two months I found a wedding planner and potential venues. We bought our tickets and we flew to Mexico on Friday in search of our wedding venue. We made a list of about 20 different venues. We spent Friday and Saturday checking not only venues for the wedding but also for a rehearsal dinner. Although I am thinking of doing a boat day of water activities with our guests instead of the rehearsal dinner and be less traditional (we don’t have rehearsals in Argentina). We also met with Kristina an amazing photographer from Mexico that I found on Instagram to take our engagement/save-the-date photos and our wedding planner setup a food tasting for the venue that was on top of our list. Luckily we had time to enjoy the beach and get familiar with the area.
